Science at Selby Community Primary School aims to equip the children with the skills for lifelong learning.

Pupils are developed in curiosity, enjoyment, skills and a growing understanding of science knowledge, through an approach in which pupils raise questions and investigate the world in which they live.

We value practical activities to enhance our teaching and learning of science and the cross-curricular links which allow the children to apply their own knowledge in a host of different ways.

We are focussed on investigational skills and use this to explore the wider world.

If there is something we think will enhance science we will find a way to do it! We use whole days, weeks and terms to promote science in our school as well as things such as visitors and trips. No space is too small.
